Chawli Methi Dhokla | Dhokla | Gujrati Dhokla


Chawli Methi Dhokla is an unexpected mix that makes light and flavourful dhoklas. The most well-known universal dhokla is created out of gram flour, however this uncommon mixture of chawli dal (dark eyed peas), spinach and methi made these delicate cushy dhoklas exceptionally delightful and exceptional tasting.

Chawli Methi Dhokla is an unexpected mix that makes light and flavourful dhoklas. As we know dhoklas are the speciality of gujrati's. Here is one type of them which is light and tasty.

Parts

  • 1 mug chola dal (part cow peas)
  • 1/2 mug hacked fenugreek (methi) clears out
  • 1/2 mug hacked spinach
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  • 2 tbsp curds (dahi)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp tree grown foods salt

For The Tempering
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 opening green bean stew , hacked
  • 1 tsp oil
For The Garnish

  • ground coconut

System
  •  Soak the dal for 4 hours.
  •  Grind the drenched dal with the green chillies, including a little water.
  •  Add the methi, spinach, hing, turmeric, curds, oil and salt and blend well.
  •  When you wish to steam the dhoklas add the tree grown foods salt to the hitter, sprinkle a little water over it and blend delicately.
  •  Pour into a lubed 175 (7") thali and steam for 7 to10 minutes.
  •  Allow it to cool for a couple of minutes.
  •  Prepare the treating by warming the oil; add the rai and permit to crackle.
  •  Add the jeera and hing and evacuate from the fire. Spill a teaspoon of
  •  Water into the oil once it has cooled and spill the treating over the dhoklas.
  •  Cut into squares, trim with the coconut and serve hot with green chutney.

Helpful tip
  •  Always utilize your hands while blending the player to break the knots.
